i have a 95 gst and i was wondering what kind of translator can i use? 3s, ls1, ls6, impalla SS or can i only use one specifically for a 2g dsm. thanks

The translator comes in 1 version.. It filters the GM signal to be readable by the Mitsubishi ECU... You are talking about MAF differences... LS6 uses a 3.5" MAF, the rest that you described use the 3" MAF.. If you go with a 3" or a 3.5", they will both work with the DSM Translator...

so ur saying i can use a translator that was used on a ls1, ls6 or 1g eclipse just fine? as long as i get the 3inch maf appropiate for my 2g, correct?

well that's my question, can i get a translator from a different car (ex. 1g or ls1) to somehow work on my 2g?

You don't get it, there is no such thing as a Translator for an LS1 becuase the MAF from the LS1 is meant to be used in it... What translating is needed? As for using a 1G translator, I don't think there is any difference because the MAS wiring for the 1G and 2G are pretty much the same with the exception of the harness shape...

the translator is a device that converts the signal from GM MAS such as the LS1, LS6 or whichever MAF you want to a signal that the stock ecu can "understand" the translator and the maf are 2 separate things...and no you can't use a 1g translator in a 2g...plugs are diferent...If I were you I'll let the engine as stock as posible...you may end up blowing it OMG
