evo question

are there differences between the evo 6 and evo 7 turbos?? or are they the same.
would it be good upgrade for a 1g motor??

Not gonna work on a 1g motor unless you like to do alot of custom fabricating....

If you mean a custom manifold and oil lines, then I've got that covered.

Are you talking about the turbos themselves? Or the whole engine?

Evo 4-8 engines are not oriented the same as the 4g63 in your DSM.

also what garret turbo would you compare the evo 7 turbo?
Its supposed to be bigger than the SR20 TURBOCHARGERS right?

The evo turbo and the super turbo's arent even close.

The evo turbo is good because it is a twin scroll turbo, with a nice exhuast housing.

Other turbo's that use twin scroll would be t4 turbos like the stuff from turbonetics and the big greddy stuff.

Unless somebody is giving you ten evo turbos for FREE. You would be better of buying one good turbo from somebody that bolts on and flows more air.

The Evo 6 used either a:

TD05RA-15GK2-10.5T in the GSR
TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T in the RS

The Evo 7 used either a:

TDO5HR-16G6-9.8T in the GSR
TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T in the RS

The differences being the type of wheels used, the materials in their construction, and then there's the matter of the twin scroll. If you want a big 16g, you'd be better off sticking with the EVO3, otherwise, I don't think its worth the expense of fabrication, it is reversed after all.
