EGR Valve & Evaporator Can?

I am rebuilding my the engine in my 90 AWD and I want to get rid of the unnecessary vacume hoses etc. I bought an EGR Blockoff Plate, and all of the instructions that i run across say to leave the EGR Valve on. I would like to get rid of the EGR Valve and the "EVAPORATIVE EMMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM CANISTER".
CAN I DO THIS? HOW? Do I need to cap something else off? I have no idea, but i am going to try SOMETHING this weekend. THANKS!!

If the plate is thick you can get rid of the valve, you'll just need to buy shorter bolts.
To get rid of the evap canister keep the line that comes off the firewall, put a little breather filter on it (like you would get for the valve cover) and hang it in a suitable place.
