my friend is building a t76 turbo ls1 camaro SS......i know hes crazy vut i just got a couple quick questions. i know that the 1g bov can handle the boost hes gonna run (only like 9 to 12 psi), but i was wondering if anyone knew wut kinda cfm numbers the bov can handle? he has 5.7 build liters pushing crazy pressure. i think he wants to go wit the 1g crushed bov, thanx to a little help from me..LOL, but i also told him to look at the 50mm tial, and possibly either the greddy type r or the apexi twin chamber. i think hes set on the 46mm tial external wastegate.

oh yeh, and hes gonna run a draw through system so the bov has to recirculate too. and air to liquid intercooler

tell me wut u think and give ur professional advice if u can help out in anyway

thnx
Andrew

If he's only running 9-12 psi I wouldn't crush the BOV and if he is worried about it not flowing enough he could always run two, one right after the next.

9 psi on a t72. thats almost as retarded as honda boys running 6psi out of their 60 trims.

why is 9psi outta a t76 retarded? his ls1 engine is gonna produce way more pressure to help spool the turbo faster than a 1.8l honda engine, and the turbine A/R is at .96 i think. he should be fine. thanx for the advice canadianTsi.

He is gonna be flowing big CFM with a big engine like that so a big turbo is nessecary as a small turbo you not push that much air. Anyways, the 1g BOV is fine, but I would run 2 at a minimum.

yes........, we have been lookin for the past week or so. he is considering a twin tdo6-20g setup and the t76 singe drawthrough setup. most Ls1 turbo projects go wit a t60 series or a t70 series and make over 700hp to the wheels so i really dont see where the problem would be. he tells me that the car makes over 800 cfm at 10 psi and at the track he will be runnin from 12 to 14 psi

like i said, he should be fine

well yeah, most civics run 60trims too. whats that tell you?

that a built ls1 and wit a t76 or a twin 20g setup will pull a crazy amount of HP and wit the rite slicks run crazy track times. thats wut hes goin for so i still dont see the problem.

while most civics cant run over 450hp at eh wheels N/A wit head work, cam and fuel system. his ls1 can. which equals a scary fast car :thumb:
