quick question about apexi S-afc 2

ok when you set it up it asks for the amount of cylinders your car has. i put 4. and the engine rpm gauge on the safc is way off like half of what it should be. ex. driving at 3 grand afc says 1.5 grand. but when i set the cylinders to 2 the rpm reading are perfect.

my question is that setting only for the rpm or does it effect tuning if i have it set to 2cylinders and i have 4cylinder car?

Check out the Road Race Engineering webpage on the S-AFC 2 install,..it has something about the RPMs being off because of the ignition coils,..Mine too were off by 1/2 its actual revs,...

Yup.,...

Set it to 2 cylinders,..It has to do with the ignition coils,..
