Hi guys!

A friend of mine has a 1995 Eclipse Turbo FWD. We ordered Greddy 3" exhaust, anti-sway bars, Tech 2" drop springs, KYB adjustable shocks and some other mods.

We tried to install all those parts today but we had some problems.

1. It looks that we have a wrong down pipe delivered. It has nothing common to the down-pipes I saw on vendors' sites.
2. As I understand the rear part of the Greddy exhaust (the pipe which goes to the muffler) needs to be routed UNDER the rear axle. But the stock one goes OVER the axle. Am I right? But it seems it will be too low!
3. Tech 2" drop springs are too SHORT for the KYB adjustable shocks!!! They don't sit tight. Do I need some extra parts to make them sit properly? Will we have alighnment problems?
4. Suspension Techniques rear antisway bar has a different shape in comparison to the stock one. There's much more gap between that anti-sway bar and the rear axle which makes exhaust istallation almost impossible.

Does anyone have pics of the Greddy 3" exhaust on the car and off the car? I need the same pics of Tech springs and anti-sway bar.

I'll try to make pics of our down-pipe to make sure which one we have.

Thanks in advance,

Is this a 1G or a 2G? Silly question for Americans, but there is some strange stuff going on with cars in Russia… My cousin in Kransnadar has a “95 Eclipse Turbo AWD” and it is a 1G! So they must have registered a ’94 model as a ’95 vehicle. So before you go any farther, make sure that you have the right generation.

You are right. Sounds like you got a bunch of AWD parts… FWD exhaust goes over the rear arm, while AWD goes under it. What does the new and old exhaust exit (1G exit on pass side, 2G exit on driver’s side).

All of this sounds like messed up 1G vs 2G or FWD vs. AWD parts…

Yes, the same exhaust - Greddy Evo. Don't you have the pics of how it looks under the car? Especially in the rear axle area? Doesn't it hang too low? Don't you scratch the muffler?

Thanks for your reply

Hi Leon!

It's a 2G FWD Turbo with automatic tranny. It seems we have got the wrong exhaust system :( I'll post the pics tomorrow to make sure which one we have.
