Dumped or ported o2 housing?

Im rebuilding the engine from my 93. I bought a ported big 16g, and a ported 2G exh manifold. I also want to get rid of boost spike while Im at it. So should I port out the housing or just buy a dumped one? The reason Im leaning away from the ported is because Ive heard even with it ported you can still get spike, but with a dumped housing, your basically spike free. I plan on running 2.5" turbo-back also, if it matters.

go with a dumped 02 housing....if u have the option of not having spike, then go for it....no what i mean, why get something and no that you have the option of getting rid of something else, totally. take it easy

Well I diagree, only if your going to be driving it daily though. Dumped o2's are very loud, and get annoying after a day or two. I have a Joep mbc, big16g ported, ported2g manifold, and extreme 3" turbo back o2 eliminator...and I couldnt be happier. I get no spike, no creep at all. It goes straight up to 17psi and stays there till past redline. Dumps are definetly cool if its not driven often though, cause they will definetly help with spool, power and spike...

So the only real negative effect of a dumped housing is that its real loud?

Well its really loud, and its definetly not cop or emissions friendly...other than that its awesome performance. Victory performance makes by far the nicest ones...IMO
