Blow-Thru MAFT setup = LAG

k well i installed my maft blow thru setup the other day, and it now seems like i have better throttle response, but i seem to have more lag for some reason. all my dials are set at 0. can anyone gimmie an explanation?

Nope. You should spool faster.

Check for boost leaks.

Also log it and tune the beast. Not all mafs are the same (they should be, but this isn't a perfect world). All 0s may not be the best settings for you. They weren't for me on stock injectors.


BTW Platinum plugs are bad. Through some BPR6ES or BP7ES in there instead.

Has anyone run good times with these MAF-T's yet? I have not seen anything abotu them except the usual " I put it on and it pulls hard" deal.

For all the guys arguing preturbo vs blowthrough, just thought I'd
add one tidbit to the discussion.

I have a 3.5" MAFT setup on my 1G, preturbo. I recently dynoed 531
whp on this setup and ran 10.78 @ 135. No spray. Hz count was up
past 4000, over 60 lb/min of airflow.

Between the MAFT and DSMLINK install on my car, vs a 2G MAS setup
with bypass, my spool is about 200 RPM faster now. Yes, its a 1G
with DSMLINK.
