Should i do the FREE Boost Mod!! OR NOT!!!

I read on somewhere about uplugging an intake line in the wastegate and porting out the hole. Its suppose to get like 14-15 psi> Should i do this or not? Is it good or bad!! And if i should do it HOW DO I DO IT!! If i do that can i still in the future put on a manual boost controller. THANKS

I've never heard of that mod. Just removing the hose from the BCS to get a couple more pounds.

Thanks for the mail! I forgot about that mod. I would do it only if your conifdent. Like it says you can break a 52 dollar part where for 52 bucks you get a MBC and turon the boost up the right way.

Actually the best way to do this is pull the vac hose of the B.C.S (boost control solenoid) in the plastic tube is a little round reducer (very hard to see) take a small screw thread it in maybe a half turn then yank the screw out. a little plastic disk will come out in the screw. That should raise boost be 1-1.5 psi over stock. get a boost gauge at the same time, the vdo 0-30 is only like 55-65 bucks.

Agreed definitely get a boost gauge before doing any of these mods.

The BCS restictor removal mod, I did it then put it back in a day later, got bad boost spike. Just fork over the money for a MBC and a gauge!

i did the bcs mod and used 5/32 vacum hose.........i could feel
the difference in 1st. , 2nd. , and 3rd. , but i felt the real difference
when i shifted to 4th. , my car never pulled that hard before so
my experience with mod has had good results
