Lynnwood,
...what turbos would be good with them. For streetable 12sec car on pumpgas is what I'm going for and it looks like a stroker kit is in order. Who makes them and where can I find more info on them.

You don't need a stroker for a 12 sec awd.....

For the record, I went 12.7 on 18psi and pump gas... with the following mods:
T3/T4 (about the size of a green..)
fmic
afc
3" exhaust
35mm Delta gate (no flames please...)
turbotrix manifold (no flames please..)
660s & Walbro 255

This was done at 2,200' in 90 degree weather.

The setup had more potential -- but I switched to a DSMLink and have stuck to racegas at the track since that day -- it's not much fun tuning for pump gas at high elevation (that wasn't done at my normal track btw... my track is closer to 4,000') and high temps.

All in all......

Get a Green
Get a big fmic
get a good fuel system
get a 3" exhaust
and if you want to be cool, get a VPC with either an AFC or GCC... otherwise just AFC

Dude, he has a 1G. You can run 12's on the stock turbo with ease. You want a RELIABLE 12 second driver that will run 12's EVERY time you go to the track? Use a big 16G/Front Mount/550/AFC combo with your choice of cams, nice 3 inch O2 Eliminator exhaust, good fuel pump, ported 95 manifold, etc. and you can have an easy low 12's at 112++ car. Let me know if you'd like me to recommend an EXACT setup and I'd be more than happy to give you what I would do in your shoes.

Regards,

I haven't heard a whole lot about the stroker kits except that they can have a tendency to overheat. Does anybody here run one?

Nos.... I didn't say that's what he needed to do exactly -- and unless you know his elevation exactly, you may not want to advertise a 16g into the 12's.

God knows with the kind of weather and elevation we have out here, it takes more then a 16g/fmic setup to get into the 12's up here.

And just what % of 14b owners have gone 12's with "ease" -- most of the 14b owners I know that run 12's beat the living #@%#@%#@%#@% out of there car....... not something I'm willing to do to my daily driver.
