Hello, I sheared 2 of the ears off of my flexplate. I have a 91 TSI AWD auto. My particular flexplate is a 4 point flexplate. A local salvage yard had a flexplate that was paint marked as "91 Eclipse 2.0T" but it was a 3 point flexplate. My service manual also shows only a 3 point flexplate. Im hoping someone here can tell me what vehicles came with the 4 point flexplate. Does it have to come from an AWD donor car for it to be a 4 point flexplate? Thanks in advance for your time and responses.

Sincerely,
Calsar

i think only the turbo cars(fwd or awd)come with the 4 point flexplate.the only time i have seen the 3 point is behind non turbo cars. why are you trying to find one from a junk car? have you even tried the dealer or carquest? i know the old chryler flexplates were like $25 new from carquest some years ago......

Thanks Awoler, The 3 point one I found must have just been mislabled. Ill keep looking. :) The reason Im looking at salvage is because none of the autoparts stores here even have a listing for it. The dealership here wants $100. Since the salvage yards around here usually only was 20-25, Im just trying to get it going as cheaply as possible for the time being. Just had to replace the engine in the wife's '01 Bravada and it took a good chunk out of my DSM budget.

Sincerely,
