Hey i know this is dsm forum but whatever. i have my daks auto all apart and cant get to the front clutch pack in the input clutch assembly. I dunno how to take the thing apart (never did an auto before). Heres a pic

It should lift right off, unless of course the front clutches burnt up so badly that they "welded" themselves to the rear clutch drum.

This is very possible, what do i do then? It has play i can move it all around it just wont pull off. Pull harder?

I would recommend getting two drums, even if you can get them apart, they will probably be bad.

I am going to try to press it apart just to see what happened. I just want to make sure i do it right and try not to distroy any of it (i am a very porr college student). The Green lines if where i am going to put the bearing breaker if i can fit in on there or just some metal plates and the arrow of course shows the direction of the press. My trans book should be in my mail box today that might answer my question. My auto trans knowledge lacks.

i got it all pressed apart the clutch where fried and the gear is fubr. Took the valve body apart to clean here down and like a moron i didnt take pictures and i cant figure out which spring is which, i tried to make educated guesses on it but its useless without knowing for sure. Is there a diagram out there with a better discription of the valve body. I have some tech manual but the info on the springs are very vague (just drawn pictues)
