Hey Guys

Sorry for the stupid q? But I'm an m/t guy; I never worked on an auto before. I just finished installing a new motor in my wife’s 95 TSI A/T, is there a special way of lining up the TC with the input shaft? It seems when I spin the motor by hand there is a really tough spot in the 360 rotation and I know it's not the motor. I had the motor spinning free before the install, so it must be the tranny.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I got the car running. It ran fine for a week, last night I went to re-park the cars, got in the Talon put it in drive and nothing. Motor revs up but the car does not move. I checked the fluid, it's full.

Anybody have any suggestions, like I said I know nothing about A/T trannies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You said you put a new motor in-- was it a 7-bolt? Supposedly 6-bolts won't work without some extensive fabrication and machining because they tear up the tranny somehow when you try to fit them together.

It's a 7-bolt. The car ran just fine all week; I drove it to work everyday to break the motor in. It just stopped working two nights ago.
I feel the car moving slightly but that’s about it, it just seems the power from the motor is not being transferred.
