I quite like XM better, only due to the programming guide though. I dont care much for Sirius' programming honestly.
Things are about to change though.
We got an email from XM coroporate saying that VERY soon XM will be going commercial free and adding more channels.
As much as you guys like Sirius, they dont quite hold a candle in popularity to XM. Most likely because XM was around first, and is cheaper. And with XM going commercial free with MORE channels, im interested to see how Sirius fares in the future
<-----Still waiting for a cheaper in dash solution than buying Alpine's 250 xm tuner box and 50 antenna![]()

Yes XM is going commercial free in February..but....that means eventually they will raise thre price because no more money from advertisements thus meaning they need to find cash to keep the company going because they are not even profitable yet, plust if you get a year subscription of SIRIUS they give you 2 months free which knocks there months subscription from 13 to 10. XM also broadcasts playlists from terrestrial radio stations?!?! That sht is terrible...why pay for something you can hear for free.
Yes I agree XM has the name and got out there first...but SATRAD is finally blowing up and Im sure SIRIUS will start going...
and not to be a dck, but SIRIUS wont sell a lot because obviously you dont know everything about satellite radio. See you think SIRIUS is more expensive but Im sure you didnt know about the 1 year subscription. There is a lot more SIRIUS has the upper hand on but Im not gonna make a long post.
Everybody is entitled to there opinion..Im just stating facts.

Oh and by the way, I do happen to know quite a bit about Sat radio. I just happened to be extremely biased towards XM, so yes...you can drag your argument of why Sirius is better into here, but lets leave that out.
As far as price, I DO know about the yearly subscription. I also know about XM's yearly, or rather, multi year subscription.
When a customer comes in, unless they ask, i reccomend XM. they listen, they like.
I have never reccomended Sirius. Except when all of our XM hardware is out and i need to make some sort of D-sub sale, and Sirius hardware is all i have.![]()

Sirius has a Looooong way to go to catch up to the popularity of XM.
Sirius just celebrated its 200,000 customer
XM is past 1,000,000
I'd like to see Sirius play catch up hardcore.
And i believe some car rental companies also have XM in their rental cars. I have people come in all the time and tell me they heard XM in florida on vacation, and they love it.
People do listen to both here at the store. And they choose XM. You Sirius guys are the few, the proud.
for every sirius activation we get, we have about 5 xm.
But yeah, we'll see what happens in the near future.
