Blacking Out Headlights Question

Just a quick question..I have my headlights apart..I'm gonna paint the chrome housing black..as far as prep work, do I need to sand it, or just clean it up really good with windex & shit like that?? Thanks in advance

A thorough cleaning with a good grease cutting soap (Simple Green, Dawn, anything with orange in it) should be plenty. Make sure it's completely dry before shooting. Rubber gloves will pay off very well in the procedure, too.
