at autozone they have this stuff called airplane paint remover or something along that line. Its suppose to be some really strong stuff.
One word of caution though it could damage the plastic.

If you don't want to use the aircraft stripper cause of possible damage to the plastic you could use oven cleaner or brake fluid they both WILL remove the paint and not harm the plastic.

deff will try the oven cleaner and break fluid thanx for the helpa nd ill let uknow how it ocmes out

You could also try using Acetone.

what is acetone and where can i buy it... i want to try taht break fluid and oven cleaner seems like a neat idea... but im always busy with worka nd end up comin on here at 2am.. sucks

JEEEZUS NO!!! Don't use those sorts of things on plastic, particularly the less-than-highest-grade trim used in DSMs. Brake fluid will have them embrittled and shattering in about 8 months. Acetone will melt them straight-out. Paint thinner will drive the paint further into the plastic's matrix.

Your simplest, and easiest path would be to just re-paint over them, back to the original colors.

The best way is to replace them all with used.

Actually the brake fluid WILL work without harming the plastics and so will oven cleaner, one of my hobbies is model building and I use those on old models I buy to strip off the paint and it's not somthing that I thought up it was in a model building magazine.

It'll depend on the specific composition of the plastic, and what use it's put to afterward. I had a coffee cup I'd taken the logo off of with brake cleaner, and three months later it just forgot how to hold itself together- just came apart like it was a chocolate shell. Styrene holds up okay, but DSMs aren't styrene.

I first heard of brake fluid on models in Model Railroader, '71 or so. You'd LOVE what I did to a Tamiya Sherman....

They do make paint stripper specifically for stripping paint off plastics. You should be able to find this anywhere you find the aircraft stripper,Its usually called Bumper stripper. It works good too

Ya don't use the aircraft stripper on plastic. It's REALLY strong stuff. It does work great on metal though. Defiant's right, your best bets are to buy another set or paint them the original color.
