Plastic inserts by fog lights....

Just wanted to know if any harm would be done if the plastic inserts by the fog lights were taken out. mine are all greyish/white lookin so i took them out. plus, i just figured more air for my CAI. this good or bad?? any advice would be much appreciated. thanx

clean, lightly sand them and paint them black.

are you talking about the part surrounding the fog light (square) or the piece off to the side that gets all ashy? (crescent shaped) If you mean the ashy crescent thing, you could armor all it. I just pushed mine in until they popped out back when I had the stock front. Looks better imo. And you get air flow to a CAI with an NT. I'd just remove them if u mean the crescent shape. But if u mean the fog light bezel- NO!

i was talkin about the "ashy" lookin plastic inserts. not the fog lights. i popped mine out and sanded them down and painted them black. looks good!! ill probably end up replacing them with a grill set anyways

Take em out....check my 97 in my gallery pics...plus increased airflow to the CAI.
