i looked under the dash on the drivers side, and realized that near the trunk release there is a pushbutton hanging from the wiring. what is this??? i cant for the life of me figure it out, thanks, i could try getting a pic if noone knows LOL

I think you meant the hood latch did'nt you? since its located under the dash and trunk is along the door sill area. anyway, indeed it can be the stock alarm, mine had it too but don't know jack on how to even troubleshoot it.

Don't push that button!!!!

Your seat will eject so damn fast, that..... LOL.

j/k. I dont know what it is either. :)

ok, this thread has turned hilarious, but ill go take a pic. Yes i did push it but i didnt notice anything happening...

that arcade controller is ill man.

does your car have remote start on it, because if it does dont push that button, it programs the remote start, keyless entry, trunk, and other things

I am guessing you have a aftermarket alarm system right? Try this... Open the door so that the alarm will sound. Put the key in the ignition and try to start the car. Doesn't start. Now when the alarm is still sounding, push that button and hold it in. Now, put the key in the ignition and try to start it. It should start right up then. Valet Alarm Switch!

:thumb: ohh look, more expert advice from Special Ed:barf: It probably is an override switch of some sort. maybe an alarm, like other people said, or it might even be a neutral safty switch. anyways, good luck finding out man:dsm:

I'm trying to help him figure out what it is instead of you giving him BS guesses. You are no help, as usual.

Perhaps if he followed the wires, he could figure out what it was for. Seems like a good way for him to figure this shit out.
