changing headlights

any guides on changing headlights from 96 to 97?

Lets put it this way : Make sure no children are around while you attempt it.Youll be swearing your ass off. Its not even worth the trouble to change the headlights on these cars

do i have to take out the bumper?
also, can i use the bulbs from my 96 headlight? the 97 headlight i bought didn't come with any bulbs..

Yup on that part. Low 9006 (HB-4), high 9005 (HB-3). All 2Gs.

When I changed my headlights,I had to take my front bumper off,but that was no problem because I was changing to a 97-99 Eclipse front bumper anyways,so it had to be done either way.Not only did I have to take off the bumper but even the bumper support to get out a bolt for the headlight.After all that theres still a bolt behind the light near the fender that has to be loosened,but with small fingers,and ALOT of patience it can be unscrewed.So basically what your looking at is a 2 hour job or so.The bumper isnt all that bad to get off,but to get it back on is rediculous because those damn bolts under the fender,but If your bored and have some free time on your hands go for it

damn...that doesn't sound like fun... nevermind i'll just wait till i get my 97 bumper for a full conversion then...

Its definatly worth waiting to get the bumper if you plan on doing that in the future.If you have any questions about it later on just ask

its really no big deal, just time consuming. If you can take bolts off. yea would wait for the bumper.
