Torch Flame Exhaust

Not sure if this is the right forum for this. But does anyone know how to get the flame to come outta your exhaust like in 2 fast 2 furious. I like that look and i think it would look neat on my car. just wanna know how hard it is and how to do it thanks.

Switch the spark plug wire numbers.

big shocker here. even when it has nothing to do with the subject you still find a way to bash non turbos.Well buddy since none of these assholes wanna help you out. go to autoloc.com. they have a kit for the flame thrower exhaust thingie. someone already asked about it earlier and got flamed because some people think that only their oppinions matter and that anyone who likes something they dont like is wrong but dont worry about it there are some members on here that just wanna help people out and not bash them because we dont agree with them.

i dont know if you noticed, but there is alot more NT DSMs then there is turbo DSMs, and with turbo DSM numbers declining maybe we should try and save the ones still out there and give them to real performance people or who atleast give a damn that their car is turbo and not shooting flames out the exhaust

i know that there are alot more non turbos but to imply that someone who owns a non turbo is less of a dsmer than a turbo owner is stupid. if you really wanna get technical a 2g non turbo eclipse represents a dsm more than a turbo. think about it, Mitsubishi car, chrysler engine. japanese car company but the car is made in america.and just because a person owns a non turbo doesnt mean that they dont care about performence. with so many turbo kits and bolt ons available there is alot us non turbo owners can do now.anyway my point is that this is supposed to be an online community of people who share the same interests(dsms)turbo or non turbo.So why dont some people start acting like it.it just seems to me for every nice helpful person on this site there are at least 4 assholes that do nothing but flame others and offer no useful knowledge at all.

id really hate to add fuel to the flame of a turbo vs non turbo battle but if you wanna get technical the true dsms are the first gens. my car has a dsm sticker.

about the flame thrower...the idea is to run as rich as possible without losin to much driveabilty and get a spark plug in your exhaust

this forum was meant for tuners, people who are trying to make dsms run better and faster as far as i understand it....

maybe if the question was phrased differently and put in the hangout it wouldnt start a war...

if u watch the first fast and furious, watch the first scene where they do the flame exhausts closely you will notice the eclipse backend is a 95 painted green and that they just took 3 inch pieces of pipe and used some sort of torch to do it. so really the cars werent even doing it..was just a good camera angle. of the back pieces of the cars.

I have to agree with great huskie, the number of turbo DSMs and there condition is just not so happy anymore. If I had to buy another GST say from a bad accident I really dont think I could afford to get where I am again. Idiots that dont take care of there car, its so hard to find one that doesnt make me nervous. (I know because were trying to find a turbo spyder for my sister thats not damaged)

i dont see why the NT guys have to get so defensive or resentful over the simple rule of scarcity. the NT supra guys get along great with the TT guys.....

autoloc.com and sparkoo.com are two sites who sell kits. I don't know of anyone who sells the more "torch lighter" look kits like in the movie though. A lot of the hot rod guys are into just the normal flames from the exhaust so some of their magazines may have more adds or info.

Because he likes the looks of it? First of all he will be DRIVING his car when the flame goes off, so he wont even be seeing it. Why run your car pig rich to see a flame come out of the exhaust? THAT IS RICE. I have my own opinion on it, you have yours. I liked my CF hood because it saves weight, not because of the way it looks. Plus, I can almost gaurentee that if F&F was never made this post would have never been made and I could have saved 2 minutes of my life by not typing this.

thats the most retarded thing i have ever heard in my life. first of all you cant see a body kit or wheels or a lot of other things while you drive your car but it doesnt make them rice. second of all if he buys a kit to do it and doesnt ghetto rig it his car wont be running rich.third of all who cares if the fast and the furious was his inspiration for wanting this. how the hell is that any different from seeing something in a magazine or on the street or on a friends car. its not. it wouldnt have even been in the fast and the furious if someone somewhere hadnt done it first. art imitates life and life imitates art and thats the way it is and always will be. so get the hell over yourself.
