Ok i have a question. I have a 99 Eclipse Gs, can I put and intercooler in that even if i don't have a turbo? If not, are there such things as fake intercoolers? If so where can I find them...
Thanks

I have one on my car. I hooked it right up to my cold air intake and it caused an incredible increase in my low end power. I'd suggest every non-turbo owner to this. A well spent 1200$!!!11

Heres a pic of one on my car

I'm pretty sure he was being serious ryan... ;)

Dude, theres a frontmount intake... But I'm going to speak on behalf of alot of people and not ACTUALLY FLAME YOU, but FLAME THE IDEA that putting a fake intercooler on your car will get you alot of results... Only negative ones tho. :(

the only intercooler is a real one man. our nt's are not ment to have them, so their is no point getting a cai look alike itercooler.

There are no "fake" intercoolers, they're F@G intercoolers when they aren't functional.

Be true to the school, man. Or we'll chase you back to Hondaville with a removed, and re-inserted Silent Shaft.

The hard way.

Spoken like a true wiseman.

Well, say what you will...but I have SEEN the INTER-FOOLER! Civics and Neons alike around my way actually have them. Piping that leads to nowhere other than infront of the fenderwells.

I'm not gonna flame you either, but I wouldn't suggest wasting money on it. Might as well save up a few extra bucks and get an intake or something.

*bites tongue*

Yeah, get a fake intercooler...this way when 4 door Accords beat you they can go brag to their friends that they beat a GST. While you're at it...put a empty 2-liter bottle of soda in your hatch and write "NOS" on it.

I see some new civic's and other cars with a radiator that looks like a fmic. It foold me until I looked at it close. They do look like it tho.

Dude just do what i did a put mesh in your gril. total cost = about 15 bucks. FMI=about a grand.....see i'm not rich so i take the 15 buck road!!! And its not like every turbo has a FMI!

Fake intercoolers are a rip off. Buying and mounting a real one is cheaper, and you can upgrade one day.

Get a Left to right Front Mount intercooler. That would cost... what $300? I know I have seen links to Cheap cores on ebay. Buy it, plug it and stick it on the car... then Save your pennies and go turbo. Dont buy the Greddy FMIC, cause your intake is on the wrong side.

You know what I always wondered, why dont they make front mount aluminum Radiators.:thumb:

i've seen pics of an air filter that mount where an fmic would mount on a non turbo eclipse my friend was trying to tell me it was an intercooler until i pointed out that only 1 side had a pipe on it

What kind of modifications would I have to do to put a intercooler on my N/T?? I mean a REAL one. If I'd get more hp gains then going with a cold air intake then I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks. That is, if it's even possible.

No, I'm not. But if it won't work well then ok. Christ, I'm only 15. Give me a break. I don't know shit yet. Give me time to learn all this stuff.

for the amount of money.. it would cost.. you could buy a turbo kit.. and make the car need a fmic dont de a loser go the real route!!!!!!!
