alright, so, im getting my system formmy old car reinstalled into gsx. long story short, im getting some..whatcha call its..kick boxes? eh, somehting to put my XR componets in on the floor. anyone else have these...do they get in the way? full install is coming to 600$+

Yes, they get in the way. I assume you're talking about putting them in a small enclosure instead of the factory mounting locations. It's not going to look great, but it will work. Make sure you have them securely fastened. If you crash into a pole at 100Mph with the boxes on the back dash, you could lose your head.

I think you mean kick panels....
If you are getting Q-forms, I highly suggest getting a bit of dynamat to make them more ridgid. They will sound better that way.

yeah sorry bout the confusion. do i need dynomat tho? of course it sounds better, but i dont think its worth it. my system osunded fine in other car after bubble wrap and caulk. hehe (you think im joking)

If you are ok with Jerry-rigging your car...then bubble wrap and caulk will be fine. Its your car, and your call.

IMO...do it right, or dont bother. Again, just my opinion.
$25 in Dynamat will make $100 speakers sound as good as $175 speakers. Worth every penny to me.

Gotta agree. The diference in the amount of road noise that the dynamat blocks is amazing. Also, you'll notice that the tonal quality wil change dramatically, much less vibration in the body panels.
