I think i might be getting a talon, its either a 90 or 91.... how difficult would it be to convert the front end to a 92-94 style... od the parts just bolt on and match up.... also, will eclipse parts go on too.....

LOL why you dont like the pop up headlights, cuz thats the only difference. just find someone whos parting out there dsm and ask if you can buy the front end.

no i dont like the pop ups... at all.... and i was planning on finding someone who was parting one out(red), but i needed to know if they will fit and bolt right on with out having to drill any holes or any thing.... if any one knows, lemme know....

I know all what i need... all the parts, hardware and headlights.... thats not what i asked tho... i asked if it will all bolt on..... with out any modifiing drill holes or nething

the worst part about a talon, which would be alot to convert, is the back end, tailights are ugly compared to the eclipse's

why downgrade?

I think there's a mistake here: from what I've heard and read on boards, there are _many_ differences between the 1GA and 1GB front ends under the skins, so that swapping is not practically possible.

Defiant is right. A conversion of that magnitude would be pricey. I have seen other 1g front end conversions to other types of cars, and they payed out the ass for it. it would take just as much work to go from 1ga to 1gb. but if you got the money, the 1g/s14 silvia conversion looks sik.

as a 1Gb driver, all i can say is that its not worth the work, and besides, 1Ga cars do look badass. Flip lights are hot, except for when they're up. keep the flips and dont go htroguh the hassle of it all :thumb:

You see.... I still Agree...!
Haaaa.

1G's "A's and B's", and 2G's are all badass cars if you make them perform as they should Period.

I bought a 90' TSI with the lights of a 93' already swapped but the pop up's are still there, The pop up's are eventually going to be used as air ducts. Also I had a 90' GSX and the pop up's sucked they broke all the time. Does anyone know if there is a HID conversion for 92'-94'??? The 92's are not as bright..

i do custom fabrication at my shop sprayed FX custom paint and i also am doing a 92 front end conversion on my 1990 laser you will need

92-94 HOOD
92-94 pair of fenders
92-94 headlights
92-94 front bumper or bodykit

that stuff bolts up fine but on the radiator support for a 89-91 you have two brackets behind where your blinkers are. they are spot welded to the radiator support, you will have to chisel them off.their is also a bracket that your front bumper bolts to.You will have to buy that. i am not sure if the inner fender liners will bolt right up.also on the radiator support where the bumper brackets bolt s up their are only holes so you will have to use bolts and nuts. on the 92-94 radiator support the holes are tapped. But other than that it should be no problem

This was covered thousands of times before but thanks for the reminder

I am doing the 90 to 94 conversion and theres many things you habe to change besides body parts....theres 4 brackets near the headlighs assembly on the radiator support that you have to cut the rivets out of and weld in the new brackets from a 94.,,make sure everythingis straight or ## headlights will look cockeyed. And theres the wiring from pop ups to regular lights which i am having an issure with. i have all the wires from a 94 but somet things just arent making sense to me. im not an electronices guy, but its more than just some parts...I have the car painted...motor ready to go in...and after all the time I have to say its worth it for the simple fact youll be the only one with a conversion like this.

unplug the wire harness for the pop ups and use a volt meter on it to find what one is high beam and what one is low beam. cut solder and your good. you do know your posting this in a really old post right. not to many people look to kindly at this. just a for-warning for future referances. pce and have fun.
