Just wondering today... i have long legs...

Would it be very difficult to extend the front seat rails to bring them back more? Take out the backseat and all...

It's tough to extend the rails, you're better off to modify the mounting bolts. I don't think you can get away with new holes in the body, the floor's too lumpy. I'd get a spare set of rails at a junker's (with a seat bottom, ideally), stop by a small welding shop, tell them how far back you want to go, and pick them up the next week.
The back seat lifts right out by pulling those two releases under the front edge (the releases are attached to the body, the seat lifts off). If you need more depth than that, you also probably stick your head out the sunroof to see.
