Ok...so, I've noticed a few threads about the not so good quality of AutoMeter gauges and I also consulted my local DSM fam. Word is that AutoMeter gauges aren't that great. So...seeing as though those were my first option before much research was done, I'm in need of suggestions. Here's what I'm after:

Boost, A/F, EGT Gauges
Silver, Black, or White face(in order of preferred color first)
Blue lighting scheme(numbers or just around the interior edge)
Good quality and easy to read.
Nothing extremely expensive.

Alright...if you all could give me some suggestions, links, personal experience, etc...it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone!

If you want quality and are willing to pay for it, the Apex-i gauges (EL Series, not the new EL 2 or whatever, hehe) are great! The boost gauge I have is mechanical. The construction is clean, lighting is perfectly even and bright, and the operation of the needle is extremely smooth. Numbers are easy to read as well. Same comments go for my EGT gauge. In addition, the EGT's electronic functions work flawlessly and exactly as described, and the EGT probe seems very durable as it lasted over 2 years seemingly without changing compared to a new probe (I just replaced mine recently and the readings remained identical). EGT also seems to be rather responsive, but I honestly have no experience with other gauges or probes (other than a few rides in a car with a Greddy EGT) to compare mine to.

I can't really comment on the accuracy, of course, as don't have the tools to compare these gauges to.

The only Autometer guage I'm aware of that doesn't work that great is the A/F guage, its just slow. A lot of people though are running there stock O2 sensor, which was recalled on the 1G's. I had my Autometer A/F guage in with my stock O2 sensor and it was slow, after I bought a new O2 sensor I noticed that it reacted quicker. I have a Autometer boost guage, and it seems to be reliably accurate.

All my gauges except the A/F (replaced with wideband) are autometer, no complaints they work great.

Get Greddy. Moderately priced, don't look like ghetto crap, don't look like rice-rice racer indeglow crap like the Apexi stuff does, extremely reliable...

I reccomend the electric ones. If you want to, you can spend more on the peak/hold/warning, but that's up to you. I went Peak/hold/warning on my oil pressure gauge because my stock unit idiot light never even went on when I lost all my oil pressure (and along with my 7 bolt. :()

Don't bother with an AF gauge. Blinky lights, little digital read outs, all crap without any further knowledge. An EGT makes a better A/F gauge than any "Techno Dance Party Light" does. If you want to read A/F ratios, get a wideband and a good logging/diagnostic software.
