I have a problem with my 2g install of HID's. I have a phillips complete kit, for the 9006 retrofit and a D2R bulb. Standard Phillips basically.

Anyways I have a problem with my passenger side light/ballast not lighting up! The weird problem starts here.... both the setups bulbs, ballasts etc work perfectly fine on the driver's side, yet on the passenger side it won't light up at all!

Now what's wrong with that? I plug in the stock 9006 bulbs and it lights up, so that's fine, but why doesn't it fire up the ballast?

Now I thought.. heck I'll just leave it like that, go for a 30 min drive or so. After about 10-15 mins my lights go out, the brake light, battery light, and alternator light goes on. Crap I thought I melted something. Went back home, found out the headlight 40A fuse blew, got a new one and everything is back to the same problem.. the passenger side light doesn't go on.

Can someone tell me what could be the problem here? Any weird possibility that the passenger side doesn't produce enough current to light the ballast for some odd reason?

I would assume there is no point in trying another HID kit (which I don't have handy).. and I don't really want to return this one since when I swap sides both sets work.

Thanks!

I have the same problem but I have aftermarket halos. Both start up fine but when I flick it off the passenger side is off??? I have to keep flickering it so both are there. Does this problem have to do with the eclipse electrical?

Well besides these are illegal and dangerous to other drivers. You can research that at HiDPlanet.com :: Index . You can not power hid ballasts off your sock wiring. Hid's only use 35watts versus the oem 55watts but to ignite the arc instantly they have to supply 30,000 volts. So as they are firing they are pulling far more than 55watts. You need a harness that utalizes a relay and 10 gauge wire to power HID ballast. If this dosn't help then follow the link and do some research.

Had harness and ballast still doing the problem I had.
