new steering wheel

my stock one is about 5 yrs old and the leather was pealing off so instead of buying a new stock one i bought an aftermarket. looks and feels great.

the leather is pealing from the top of the steering wheel. are u asking about the airbag? im not sure but isnt the cover part of the air bag thingy too?

thanks, unfortunately i havent been able to try it out because my car is currently on jack stands. waiting on new wheels to come and i sold the ones that the car had, and thats only because i was they would be in mon or tues now its friday.

yea i'm looking for the part that covers the airbag .... it has the mitsu sign and the horn buttons

Is this wheel bigger than the stock one, it kinda looks like it? Also how illegal is it to do this? Ive been thinking of doing it but I dont want to get in alot of trouble if I get pulled over. And if you could explain the airbag removal that would be sweet. Thanks and nice wheel.

it looks big in the picture but its actually a little smaller in diameter. i didnt know it was illegal.
remvoing the air bag was simple, un bolt the four bolts holding it to the steerign wheel then diconnect the air bag.

You can have them removed If I remeber correctly. But you have to have it done at a dealer. (yea like the cop will know) At least I think thats how it is hear.
