Wheel weight effectiveness

I'm looking to purchase some wheels for my awd. I was just wondering how much the weight of the wheel matters when determining wheel hp. Say, if each wheel in a set weighs 5 lbs more than each in another set, how much wheel horsepower will be lost when using the heavier set? Thanks in advance for any info.

Think of it this way!
Can you run faster with sneakers that weight 1 lb
or sneakers that weight 6lbs....

it would definitely negatively effect 1/4 time but i don't think it would hurt hp

actually dont quote me on this, but ive been thinking it CAN hurt HP, because it is taking more power just to spin the wheel you arent going to put it all to the ground

i read this article in super street i think awhile ago with a honda that used wheels that weighed like 6lbs more than stock, and they lost 4 peak hp.....

Wheels are rotating mass like the rest of your drivetrain. Obviously it doesn't actually affect your horsepower, but the lighter your drivetrain is, the more of your power gets to the ground instead of getting used to rotate drivetrain components.

WHeels weight makes a big difference in HP...i had my stock rims on..i was running much faster..ever since i put 18inch motegi mr-7...my car has been much slower at lifter..its worst becuz my car is n/t and losing speed is the last thing...i want to do
