O.k. this jacka** rearended me doing like 20 mph, and the only damage
is the rear shock absorbors, and it crushed in the driver's side quarter panel directly over the rear wheel. the dent is like 4 x 4 inches, and there isn't any paint damage, I got his insurance check, but I would like to spend the money on other stuff for the car, so is there a way to pull that out myself? It dosen't gotta be perfect, its just that I cant get to it from the inside, and obviously you cant just take it off to fix it cus its a damn uni-body so if any body could help me out that would be great. thanks,

Have you tried a toilet plunger? Worked for me once. Just make sure the plunger and the surface of your car are clean and dust free so you don't get any scratches. The sooner you try and get it out, the better because metal is more likely to pop into it's original position if it hasn't been too long. Also, before you do it, let your car sit out in the hot sun for awhile.....the heat makes metal more flexible. Goodluck.

i did that on my Omega once,i also used a hot air blower to heat up the paint so that it was flexible, then i put the Plunger on and -PLOP - u coundt see anything after that.

thanks guys, ill give it a try, i didn't think a plunger could hold that well.
keep the good ideas coming though just in case it dont work.

Just Bang at it on the outside area, on the edge of where the dent is, thats how mines came out. There was just a slight wrinkle look, but way better than a big dent.

your telling me to hit my car?!?!?! I dont get how that will accomplish anything, but maybe im not getting exactly what you mean. the plunger thing work pretty good, but now i got two little dent instead of one big one, and every time i push on it to try to get those out the whole thing pops back in.THIS SUCKS!!!!!!

body shops used what is called a spoon for problems like this. it's a piece of metal that is slightly curved and rounded on one end (like a spoon). they remove dents by getting to the inside of the body panel and gently smooth the dent out from the inside. i had to use one of these after i threw a guy into the side of my car. u may see if you can get to the inside of the panel and work the dents out.

thats the problem..I cant get to the back of the panel. i took off the interior panel, took out all the crap for the speaker, but there is like another metal panel between there and the outside one. earz 93 brought up excatlly what i want to know, how a body shop is going to do it. from there i can pretty much copy whatever they would do. so if any of you work in a body shop and can let out the big secret here, i would VERY much apreciate it. thanks again

you may have to take the body panel off. i'm not sure if that's possible, but it should be, just never done it.

ive heard dry ice works. just rub it on the car till it pops, just have to make sure its not on so long that it will cause the paint to chip.

Not understanding how Dry Ice would pop it out.

what happens is the dry ice causes the metal to contract and pops the dent right out. just get a block of dry ice, place a towel over the dent and apply the dry ice and hold it there until it pops. i personally havent done it but have heard other people do it on other boards

thats a good question. i would assume it would be for more of those dings u get when those stupid people open doors really hard on your car, but i guess it wouldnt hurt to try it on something a lil bigger. just means you would need a bigger ice block or whatnot.

I know someone that used one of those dent king things you see on infomercials and they said it worked pretty good. They had to use it like 5 times and took awhile but did a pretty good job i guess.

With the dry ice heat it like stated above then rub the ice over. I have only used it for small dings but it works great. Heres and Idea, heat the spot and put a little dry ice in a plunger and.......j/k

cant take the panel off...unibody. the dent was like 4x4 inches, now its two dents, each like 1x1 inch. im gonna try the dry ice thing as sone as i can find some. ill let you know how it works for me. thanks guys.

Last sunday, I parked in a culdasac and as i was backing out i misjudged the car behind me (big ford suv) and hit his bumper. He had almost no damage to his car but my entire rear bumper was ####ed up and the passanger side quarter panel had a fairly large dent in it. You can use hot glue gun take a large stick (such as broom) and put your hot glue in to it let it dry and then pull fast and hard. it should pop out, then rub the glue away (it wont take the paint off if your paitient). This is basically waht the dentking does. On my car, if I took off the rear tail light in the trunk I could fit a hammer / tool in there (it was tight but doable).

There are tons of dent removal shops that will remove it for liek 20 dollars... it might be worth it (dent kings are expensive), or if you want to risk it just do it yourself.
