Well I decided to change my windshield wipers, and I decided to check for the actual arm that hooks up to the motor itself, and they didn't carry them at a local auto part store. Meaning I would have to stop by Satan and pick some up for a grip of money, so I decided to paint them instead. As I was taking them off, I noticed that the cover on the bottom of the windshield was faded as well, it's held on by 6 screws, so I decided to take that off and paint it as well. I'm not exactly sure what this piece is called. Anyways, I was wondering what the best kind of paint to use on these pieces, obviously black.. but is there a specific kind of spraypaint I should use that will last, and look great?

Also, on my 90 Laser, I'm having trouble removing the rear windshield wiper arm. I unscrewed the nut, and tried pulling it off, and nothing.. Is there another bolt on the inside of the trunk?

Thanks,

they are Probably Oxidated, the best thing to do is to drench the part of the wiperarm around the bolt with some WD40 and wait 15min,and then use a pair of pliers and kinda "wringle gently"till it comes of,and be carefull not to let the Pliers slip out of ur hands and destroy the Rear windsheild. Also cursing and screaming while u attempt to remove the wiper arm does not help, but it does prevent friends and neighbors passing by from asking stupid questions and from making stupid sugestions...:D

i am also repainting mine what should i sand them down with and what kind of primer and paint should i use?

i used Duplicolor Auto Trim Paint from autozone, with Filler Primer to make sure it's smooth. it worked GREAT for me.

Later,

Duplicolor's excellent paint, they know about car stuff and what it has to put up with. I don't think the arms are primered from the factory, and that could be part of why they lose paint after a few years of wind and grit.

i will have to do this this weekend should i use that duplicolors paint for the plastic hood deck to ? will it work on plastic
