Hey guys, just about to install my amp. I want to put it under the passenger seat, but I don't know how to mount it... do I screw it into the bottom of the seat? or should I mount it to the floor. If so (for either really), how do I do this?

Thanks!!

Also, for the remote line, can I just tap into the 12v accessory (cig lighter) track?

Thanks!

Mount the amp to the back of the backseat and use the power antenna wire for your remote

Nah, it's gotta be up front. I fold the back seats down when I haul stuff (including my bike), so I can't mount stuff back there. I've heard of people putting them under the seats, I just want to know how.

But thanks for the suggestion!

Mount it to the floor of your car...never mount an amp upside down. Just be careful you don't ground the chassis in the process.

Any pics, description on how to do that? Do you mount it between the humps in the floor or what? And what would I screw into? Isn't it bare metal under there?

And what's wrong with mounting an amp upside down? It's not like electronics know which way they are oriented.... there aren't moving parts here (that I'm aware of).

use tech screws and a drill. tech screws have a mini bit on the tip and are designed to go into metal. whats wrong with grounding out a chassis? i have an installer friend that uses the process i just talked about...ive never heard of an amp that uses the chassis to carry electricity?? they use circuit boards made of silicone for a reason!
if theres enough room under the seat then just screw it in and run all you wires to it. you could use your cig lighter i guess but you should use the the wire off your deck(remote wire)
