mod for intake

Ok i just got my AEM CAI for my ride and i installed it and noticed i can put a peice of plexi glass at the bottom end of it cause on the fender theres a slot for the plexi glass to fit in and i can glue it on it.And the other side i can just screw holes in it and bolt it down.Now with saying that i think it will work but do u guys or girls think any thing can happen if i do it .Like water getting caught up on top ,but i can just drill holes in it.I just want to make a plate for the bottom so alittle or no water can touch the filter.I do have the Bypass Valve but i dont want to cut my pipe.

I've driven my car without a bypass valve and the openings on my front bumper have been open so you can see and touch the filter through the opening. I havent once worried about my filter getting wet, the only way water will come up the pipe is if your car is submerged in water and your literally slamming on the gas.

Thanx alot .. Its been raining here alot so maybe i should take it easy on the gas .I also got the breather and i saw that you did not have it .Is it a good thing i got it. Cause i noticed some oil in my factory intake and i dont want that in my new intake. My car looks just like ur same color and everything but i do not have any rims on it except the 16 OZ F1 wheels that came with it. Did u notice a big gain from the N1 exhaust.
