DSM paint match.....???

My GS-X is silver, and I need to find paint that matches my car, but how do I find the exact paint color? Is there a number located somewhere on the car that displays the color or something? Any feedback would be great!

Here are some factory paint codes for DSM cars (and Lancer Evo!)

Lancer Evo VIII

White: W83
Yellow: Y01
Red: P85
Silver: A31
Blue: T10
Black: X42

I looked at the firewall before, and the sticker was really faded, and I couldn't read it. As far as the paint codes that were posted......THAT'S GREAT!!!........but, where can I get that paint? Can I go to home depot, and ask for silver A31, and will they make a can of paint matching my car?

the sticker on my fire-wall is un-readable too. just take it o the body shop, they should know what color it is and give you an estimate on how much its gonna cost ya.

I went to that web site, and it was great!!! I found the silver color for the 2003, and the 2004 Lancer, but no 95 Eclipse. I assume that this is the same silver color though. Am I correct in assuming this?

If you can eventually figure out the Mitsubishi paint code you can go to the ppg paint site and figure out the PPG code... once you have that anyone can match the color.

If your code is really faded.. take your VIN to a dealership and they will be able to give you your factory Color Code.


There are a lot of possible silver colors for your year... Here are some Mitsubishi silver colors for 95
