i really like the way a 4- of 5-point harness feels and i like hay secure they are but i don't have enough money to get racing seats. Do you think it would look to stupid.

I have a 5-point harness on my stock seat right now.

It feels way safer than a normal seat belt.

Safety is never stupid.

I reccomend getting a good set of Simpson belts over Schroth, or any of those "PHAT JDM" brands like Greddy, or something.

Good enough for SCCA Pro Series, good enough for you.

The Schroth Ones are dope and they are fully legal for street and SCCA..simpson ones look tacky and look better in 2000 horsepower drag camaros..also they have the rally 3 ones that have a bucket in the back that you can detach so you can access the back seat..to grad something..

I Have som RCI harnesses FIA approved thru oct of this year

If you can jsut get the harnesses now then I would get them. It wont look like rice and you will sick to your seat a lot better. Safety is always important.

Maybe. You may find in some seat belt states that _real_ harnesses are illegal.

No, I can't explain it. They work swell at 200MPH at Sebring, but they're not DOT approved, so far as I know.

Safety isn't stupid, but laws often are.

I swear, every post you make is completely retarded. "I HAVE AN EVO3 MOTOR AND SUSPENSION (DESPITE THE FACT THAT AN EVO SUSPENSION WOULD HAVE NO WAY IN HELL HOOKING UP TO A GALANT CHASSIS) IN AN AWD SPYDER AND IT'S GOT A 2.4L STROKER (DESPITE THE FACT THAT DAYS BEFORE I SAID IT HAD AN EVO3 MOTOR) BUT I'LL JUST TALK ABOUT HOW MANY JAPANESE PARTS IT HAS IN TERRIBLE ENGLISH".

You stupid tool bag. God knows that having the alias of Greddy gives you 20 extra JDM credit points when going down AKAGI hill!

so how do you install the belts?
i am going to get some as soon as i get the money

i just thought about something. wouldn't the belst slide down the side of the seats since they don't have the holes made for harnesses like aftermarket ones do. i might be wrong. what do you anker them to

What are the legal issues with having 4 point harness'? I always wondered if they would accept those when getting an inspection. Where would you hook up the braces that go over your shoulder? I have seen many people use the back seat belt bolts, but that is frowned on.

no sir when I get my car back I will take some Digis man i miss her sniff sniff god damn stupid ower steering rack.........

ok thanks. i am going for a job interview at dunkin donuts (don't laugh, most people don't hire 15 yr olds) in about 30 minutes. so if i get the job i am going to order some with my first pay check.

but i still don't know what you hook the back of the harness to. like what do you bolt it to, to make it hold you in the seat

dont they bolt under the seat, go up the back of it, then thru the holes in the headrest? thats how my buddy's corbeau seats/harnesses work?

^^ that sounds like it works. but i have never sseen it so i just didn't know

my buddy did that to his corrado, looks ulgy because he refuses to put his back panel back on, would have to put a slit in it and just slide the belt through, oh well
I didnt mean its frowned upon because it's ugly. It's because that is not the correct way of installing them.
