back speakers

i want to get some speakers to replace the ones in the back. i want the bass to hit as hard as possible without putting a sub in the back. i also want the mid tange to sound decent what are the best speakers for this?

i also have a alpine 200watt amp and i was thinking about running that to the back speakers. is this possible? is it too much power for 6 1/2's?

i've got Infinity Reference Series 6x9's in the back...they hit pretty hard for being so small...

how did you fit them in the back holes? if you cut it, did you do it yourself?

yeah i heard there too deep to fit in the rear ???? did you bag the metel in to make it fit ?

well im not exactly sure if yours would be the exact same as mine because of the 96-97 changes..but in mine the back are stock 6x9's. I would assume yours is the same. I just removed the old ones..the new ones were a little bit thicker so i had to take a hammer and dent the metal behind the speaker so it would fit, but other than that the same holes were used and everything..

are you putting them in custom panels? a proper sealed enclosure will help any speaker.

Infinity Reference or Kappa, depending on your budget. I put References in and with some pounding of the wheel well, they fit. They sound great as well!

What do you set your head unit treb/bass levels too? Which type of music do you prefer? If you are into organic (rock) music, I recomend Polk's EX series. If you like bright synthesised (dance) music, I recommend Infinity's Reference series. For Rap, aluminum cones seem to accel (alpine type R, Audiobahn, etc).

Whatever you do, only buy 2-ways, and never buy Sony.

Hey guys, ive already changed my door speakers, i decide to go with sony xplod 3 way speakers, i have 2 12inch sony xplod subs in the trunk... i want to change the door in the rear but mine are stock and they look like 6 1/2 in. can i fit 6 x 9 in the rear? or do i have to make any mods????

MA AUdio mA69W 6x9 subwoofers...best for the money if you want them to hit...but you have to make a pod of some sort to clear the huge 2 inch thick magnet on the 6x9....look in my gallery

try OZ too.....they are new brand but our shop just picked it up and it sounds great
