What's up fellas?
I'm fixin to get a car pretty soon and it most likely will be a 98 GSX. I have really been getting into DSM cars and such, and everyday I have more and more questions. I'm also trying to get an installation company off the ground in a little bit. For now I install systems with my buddy. *money is money:p *He's into sound, I'm into speed so we are going to combine and see what we can do.Outlaw Concepts.

Anyways back to the original statement. I have 2 main questions.
What's the difficulty on installing bodykits, assuming all fits nicely *I understand that some wont but..* I've been reading a lot of Superstreet and Import Racer! and have the basic idea but was just wondering.

Also I went down to the local tuner shop by me and made up a list of what I'd like to drop in the car. I got about 6G's to put so...

Stage 1 - Suspension
Shocks - Koni Adjustables
Coilovers - Toucan/Arospeed or TEIN springs
Strut and Sway bars - Eibach

Stage 2 - Engine Upgrades
Injen intake
Apexi N1 w/ downpipe
Highflow cat
Turbo XS blowoff valve with flange
Turbo XS boost controller
HKS turbo timer with harness
HKS FCD
Accel/Taylor Sparks
NGK Platinum plugs

Stage 3 - Preformance
ACT stage 2 clutch
Greddy FMIC 24R
Upgraded Greddy 18g turbo
Upgraded injectors/fuel pump

This was just a quick list I made up with the help of Ride *tuner shop*. Any suggestions? Also for the bodykit I was going to do the Wings West Front Aggressor with Fangs for the airdam. Don't know bout sideskirts or rear. Any suggestions or comments would be GREATLY appreciated...Thanks!

Yeah. Get a car first, then ask questions. If you get your GSX that mod list sounds good. DO NOT put on the aggressor front with the fangs. If you like that look, get a 99 Honda Civic with type-r badges and put that kit on it. The Honda guys will love you to death. Be warned: a GSX with that kit on it, most GST and GSX guys on this site will STONE you. That kit is UGLY! Anyway. Good luck on getting a car. Deffinatly get a DSM, there nothing better!

horrible list. Look into the cars more!!!!!

Injen=waste of money!
wings west= Rice
loud bov= Ricey and pointless 1g bovs are better bang for the buck

First off, mad props to speed of responses and stuff...
Second turboeclipse121...that was funny as hell :b

I was looking at AEM intakes but wasn't sure, a lot of them said non-turbo so I was confused. Got word from my dad I get the car in 2 weeks, so I AM getting it...quite excited. Also the reason for the body kit is I personally would love to street race, and run strips *no autocross*. But being 16 and such the only car I've really raced is my mom's S80 Turbo Volvo *aka the beast*. So I really wouldn't know what to upgrade next for optimum speed and preformance, hence my list. I was orig just gonna get a carbonfiber lip put on bottom if anything as for kits, and maybe some alterations to the back bumper to prevent air trappage.

It's bout 11:45 pm at the moment and I got school tomorrow but I am NOT going to bed till I read this site through for information. But do you guys have any sites that would help besides this one? As well as different parts suggestion Thanks again

Oh and by the way...Not saying that I'm getting it, but hows nitrous run around here? Sacreligious?:b Thanks again

yeah those fangs make we want to shit in anger... no performance gain, and look like ass. i made a stage list and each stage was like 3 parts and not a single one was less then 400 bucks... if anyone has seen the travisty in the latest import 2nr... they you will all know what i mean when i say dont take a good gsx and ruin it... gsx shoudl be respeced with the wrx and the evo, and the 350z as an older but still legendary car... not some ricer platform

Well Welcome...
First off thats not a "Bad" list but I would definitely put some more research into it than just going to the local shop... There is a ton of very good information on this site and others about some tried and true methods for having a car that looks and performs well.. Injen intakes aren't crap by the way they are fine.. There are some nice intakes though that flow better and are actually cheaper, like dejontool... The Greddy FMIC is actually not the greatest.. You should look into the apexi GT or a brand like Hahn Racecraft, Indy Race Cores, or some of the others.. They make very nice FMIC's that will hold up better long term than the Greddy.. Any more questions feel free to PM.. Take care,
Kristen

LOL, look at that all us guys give him a hard time, but the ladies are helpful, you will deffiently get help faster from most people here if your off the speed inclination, good luck
