What did you use to dye your seats? I might have to do that if I can't find a set of black seats...or a good deal on some Evo 9's

Yes Black leather came in the 99s I have a set that I am going to try to put in my 92 I like this thread I never thought of plasticoating car stuff thanks for taking the time to post this.

What exactly did you do to your panels? Sorry if you said it, just a bit confused.

All I did was wipe them down with a rag to get dust or anything off. spay 1 coat at a time and let dry. I applied 3 coats.

meliketoball, hope you didnt mind me adding to the thread. I was very impressed with the way yours turned out. It looks OEM. I had a whole set of panels laying around, so I figured id add. Im hoping to get all of them painted and back in the car by the weekend. Ill post pics when im done.

Does anyone think if I left the panel behind the rear speaker grey it would look bad with a black speaker panel? Just never saw pics. Or you guys think I should go all black?

1) Read my post!

2) I didn't dye my seats for they are leather.

3) I got the seats from a good friend of mine.

4) Good job, jpmxrider489! They came out great!

No need to be rude... You were not really informative of what you did... That is why I was asking....

You should go all black and good job bro it looks really good! What coating did you do? I was thinking of recoating mine since it looks somewhat bad in the back seats.

Looks awesome! thinking i might try it... for those of you who have done this did you use the clear coat over it?

I suppose this could have been said better. This is what had me ask. The tan seats are also leather and people DO dye them.....or recolor them.

Thanks for the reply non-the-less.

So we can conclude that there is no gloss black Plasti-dip, right? You can probably use the Plasti-dip clear coat to get the gloss effect.

Quick question bro, did the interior come out glossy at all or no? I wanted to repaint the inside of my car and was looking for something not glossy.
(Previous owner painted the inside and it's black and glossy, I'll upload a picture later ) .
