Interior Styling Idea

Im thinkin about doin this....i dont got a DSM yet...but im saving for one.

Anyways...chances are it will be white or black....prolyl white but heres my interior proposition...its very fly(old school meaning awesome)

Removing the back seat and puttin in a custom box for like 2 10"s or 2 12"s, and ripping out seats and stuff and puttin in black leather seats, black leather steerinwheel, shift knob, black dash, and than all carpeting and sides and ceiling would be dark blue shag carpetting...and blue neons

so black seats/shifter/dash etc and all dark blue shag carpetting, and the box is custom made to fit flush with the rear area(seat removed) and covered in blue shag carpetting with clear panel and blue neons aroud the subs showing them off.

wut do u all think about this? any ideas on what the price would be? i know it seems far fetched but its my dream

If you get a dsm... don't take out the interior and paint it.. cuz thats ghey...I would get like a nice dash kit.. if you want and some dope A S S seats...Don't do vinyl and crap..its tacky IMO..

I painted my interior parts. I am having bodywork done by a guy who does custom work all around the car. SO, he is going to sand my parts down and dye them. The color the pieces are factory- that is dye. He said he can get color matched dye for my parts. Do that if you do anything. Let the pros do it.

interior work should consist of,

Adding Guages/Pods
Adding Performance goodies -Ie, Apexi AFC,Timer
Removing weight ie, passenger seats
Adding New seats,ie, Racing Seats with 5pt Harness's.


Interior work shouldn't conist of

Dying,
Painting,
Shag Carpet,
or anything u might see from the 70's or people that want to do their entire interior for 150 bucks!!!!!

i think it'd be pimp....but thats me.

theres on painting invovled....its remove the back seat, custom box to hold 2 12"s and shag carpeting with removed intereior and replaced with black leather stuff....it'd be host as #### in the summer though .

blue neons in there to....i'd be super fly pimp and stuff....or something..im white so im not 'down' with all the ghetto mumbo jumbo.

dude, if you take a TSi AWD and put blue neons and shag carpet to be super fly pimp and stuff... there will be a bounty on your head... fair warning. go get a N/A with a BOV simulator

thats why im posting in the NON PERFORMANCE FORUM because that stuff doesnt make my car faster anyway

if anything it makes it slower, because we all know that that is just added weight

but uh....a n/a with a BOV simulator is like a fake FMIC.... why dont i just get a base civic...get a spoiler and yellow stickers...

i want an awesome handling car with nice pick up and go and a nice interior.

some ppl put stickers on there car..some put silly pointless wings that do nothing unless ur at like mach 2...others change the talon emblems to mitsubishi....but i guess thast all ok...since stickers/wings make ur car faster...especially if its yellow right?



why have a fast as all hell car that is hella lame on the inside?....looks like a ####ing lincoln or cadillac on the inside but performs better than any exotic car around...thast really uh...###? if u wanna put it that way.

everyone has their own opinions on how to do their cars. judges look at how clean your car is if you show. everyone has their own tastes and it should be left at that. i mean, i did my interior in white and now i am changing it back to tan, and paying out the rear for it too. just goes to show you that if you decide to do that, make sure you are certain that's what you wanna do. just my .02

I'm going to dye my interior mostly black with a little white here and there. Black carpet to match and whatnot. I don't see why everybody's b*tchin about what this guy wants to do to his car. If you think it'd be cool, go ahead and do it man. It's all about personal preference, some people will like it and some won't, that's all there is to it.

**newsflash** DSM's are not "awesome" handling cars. Sure they're nice, very tune-able, and have a lot of potential...but they're still considered boats in the import world.

And why remove the rear seats if you're only installing 2 12's??? The trunks in these cars has more than ample space...

An even better question: Why are you wasting everyone's time Worry about this sh!t once you actually have a car.

I will take exception to that. Stock they suck. But they can be made to handle as good if not better than most Imports (not to mention domestics) out there.

i agree wit Tevenor,AWD/f do your suspension(spring,shocks,sway) you DSM will out handle the majority of the imports
