Need Help with ps2

what all do i need to be able to hook a ps2 in my car do i need a special screen , please help

my friend has a 96 GS, and has his ran in his car.

here's what he did:
plugged the red and white rca's to his stereo RCA outlets, and plugged his yellow one to the 5" screen he got installed in the dash

we played gran turismo while cruisin down the freeway one night while there was no one around

it sounds really good too with a nice stereo setup(nice bass in the game's sounds)

he got the screen for like $150, i guess he has "the hookup"...

Probably a power invertor...

he didnt use a power invertor, just took a spare power wire (the one from the ps2) and cut the end of it off and connected one to the battery, and one to the ground, just like an amplifier

dont know how easy it is to do, but i wanna try that with a small tv sometime, like a 10" or 13", put it in the backseat so i can only play it while i'm stopped.

12v power convertor to power the Ps2 (so you don't fry the internals) and a fm modulator (so you can hear sound through your existing system).
