fixed headlights?

i have the 1ga front end on my 90 of course. i really like pop up headlights, but i was wondering, has anyone done a fixed setup in their place? i dont want to go through all the trouble of swapping the front clip for the 1gb front end. i want to get rid of the pop ups for weight purposes, but i need lights for street driving.

wow, weight purposes? are you hardcore drag racing? just pull the motors and leave your headlights up then. there are more options like sleepy eyed headlights with projector lights installed.
