Custom Dash Trim (The Cheapest Way)???

Hey guys,

Ok, I don't have enough money to fiberglass my whole dash, nor do I wish to spend ~$150 for a dash trim kit...so I went and bought myself a nice roll of a red vinyl to start the project...

after wasting half of the roll, I realized that I can't actually trace the trim pieces and get them as clean as I want...does anyone know of a link that has the actual trim pieces in the ORIGINAL size, so I can print them off and cut the vinyl pieces accordingly???

I know those pictures are out there, but I just can't find them now....I'm sure that these pictures will help a lot of people, because they can cut and wrap whatever piece they want without spending a ton of cash!!!

Please help DSMERS!!!

You could paint them. I know they make a vinnal paint for trim and dash peices. Also i think it cost like 4 or 5 bucks a can. Just a suggestion.

Hey,

Ya I know I can paint or wrap the pieces, however I think the wrapped ones would look much better plus I can remove them anytime....

The question is....were can I find pictures of the trim pieces, such as the ones shown on ebay......but I want them in the original size so I can print them off and cut around them???

I'm having trouble tracing the trims off my car, they just wont look nice....printing pictures of the trims to the exact size would be much easier.....no??

I would take the vinyl put it on the trim peices and do a ruff cute. Then take a heat gun and shrenk them. After that take a exacto blade and cute them out. Its not goin to be easy i have done vinly decals for about 3 1/2 years but i hope this helps yea. I search for teplates but could not find any. Let me know what you think.

Yeah that would work for sure............thanks man......but i'm not giving up, i'm gonna search for those templates and as soon as I find them...i'll post them here for other people to use....cheers
