I just bought a brand new KENWOOD Exceleon CD/MP3 "Mask", but the only install kits I can find are the ones with that dumbass spot for a 1/2 DIN equalizer below. It looks like sh!t with that beutiful CD player on top of it, so I was wondering if any of you know of any different kinds of install kits that look good and where I could find them?

Alot of people on the board have made thier own, Its a nice deck tho. That would have to be my choice if I ever went to Kenwood, but I will only touch Pioneer. Maybe, if you are good at convincing, you could get someone who made one on the board to make you one.

I don't think that will work because of how unique the eclipse console is, every other mitsubishi might share the same DIN size, but not brackets.

they do mostly, the kits come with tabs that can be broken off to fit specifically into each car.....

Thats what I have now, I saw one in an eclipse awhile back that had made the empty space below in to a big hole where you could put CD cases and stuff. Thats what I'm trying to find but every single store around where I live sells the same ones. I want one that utilizes the unused DIN for something else besides a small hole an outdated equalizer.

Im going through the same thing right now . I actualy bought that peace of crap install kit and then realized that the factory radio mounting brackets fit on the side of my new Kenwood -5019 model maybe theyl fit yours . The only problem I found doing it this way is that you will have a big hole under the radio now . I am going to make a stainless steel filler peace to go under my radio , so I can mount some switches . I think you could go to the dealer and get one of tose cubby hole things to put stuff in or make a filler oout of some plastic or metal.
