How Loud?

i have 1990 gsx and 2morrow i will be doing an 3" turbo back exhaust the car is completely stock, how loud will it be if i do a no cat no muffler turbo back? will it sound good? does any one have videos or sound clips of a dsm like this? thanks.

True , but op is talking full 3" tback not cat or muffler .

You may want to consider a muffler of some sort. with No muffler it's extremely loud. I have a 91 talon in my shop right now that has a full 3'' and there is no muffler on it (customer hasn't decided on what can to run yet) and holy #@$&. I mean if your never going to drive it on the street you might be able to get away with it. However I'm guessing most of the driving will be on the street . With no muffler be prepared for a lot of stops between destinations with the wonderful five-O and their disco lights.

yea i am gona do no muffler for now see how it sounds, i wish i could hear it. when i was a tech for mazda i bought and built and daily drove an 400HP RX8 with straght pipes it cant be louder than a rotary? i never got pulled over for loud exhaust, and that thing redlined a 1200 rps and sounded like a really loud bike. if any one has a video of a dsm please post.

I noticed the biggest sound diff on my TBE when I ran my test pipe. Its loud. End of story.

well if you know that the cops are leaniant about loud exhaust where you live go for it. i ran my galant gsx with just a header and the downpipe for about a year and it was LOUD!!! i only got pulled over once for it and got a loud exhaust and that was only cause i wasn't in my own area where the cops ther don't really care.

we run our colt with just a downpipe and that shits loud... especially when it backfires

i have a straight 3" pipe on my talon with a muffler and its alot louder then the stock exhaust.... good luck with the fuzzz

I ran my car with 3'' turboback without the muffler and its obnoxious. loved the sound but way to loud. my buddy driving behind me said my turbo was next to him thats how loud it spool'd. im going to go with a electronic cut out for when im at the track. 3'' thermal turbo back is good for me. there are a few videos on youtube of a 2g talon revving open exhaust. not great quailty though.
