I'm not sure if thats what you would call it, but does anyone know anyone or have any info on the cost and/or effectivness of a hood like this would be, how would it latch closed? would hood pins still be functional, or would you need 4? any input would be appreciated thanks

Anythings possible w/ $$$. I've been to a lot of car shows and Seen a lot of things. It just depends on how much $$ you have. I've also see the whole hood open sideways...that was a first. You might want to try a body shop and see what they say.

the money is not really a factor with me, because im in no rush and plus im pretty patient so i could just save up, but yea i seen hoods open all the way to the side too at shows, pisses me off so much i didnt talk to the owner...errr, but yea thanks for the "non-flamed" response

you know what that too is very true, you think it would be possible to do with a cf hood with out major problems

Unless that hood is real easy to get off. I dont see the effectiveness of it. I mean how would u be able to work on the motor? I usually work on my motor from the sides not the front.

I think a friend of mine knew a guy with this kit one his Civic. If I remember correctly its opened with motors. Last I heard it was getting trailer#####ed around to shows. Dunno, Ill see if I can find out.

yea that'd be real cool, my brother got a civic and i know that he would love this, expessially if theres a kit for it

The car you have in that pic is from Atlanta. It was a Black Widow hood that he and the shop cut and reworked. It was a fiberglass hood, so it was easier to do. At first it was just a manual open setup, but he added air struts to it later that were supposed to be controlled by remote. Last time I saw it, the air struts were still leaking so I never saw it open on via remote.
