I got mine on ebay for $30. Watch what your getting though. My tach only goes up to 8, so I'll just get a after market tack to mount to the dash.

Thanks so much for your help guys..but 1 more question...if my tach goes up to 9000k....would it make a differentce if i put in something that had only 8000k or no? and how come some eclipses have 8000k and others 9000k fior the non-turbo modles...just curious thanks...1 more question...what is better, Greddy Evo or Apexi N1 exhaust system for 98 gs? i hear great things of both of these systems from this forum but i wanna get an idea on what sounds better and what epopel like better and ####.,...and again i dotne ant the "weedwacker on a rampage" sound from my car like those hondas who think they are hot shi+....but i want that low gruble that whines when reved...u kniow what im talkin bout :)!

i was wondering about the tach also sorry i cant answer that. most people say to go with the apexi. i posted a thread on the two exhausts getting opions and everyone has said that the N1 is nice and deep not ricey at all, but i didnt get much feedback on the greddy. the only reason i would go with greddy over the apexi is because greddy has 4-1 headers i dont know how the header would sound with apexi but im not sure it might sound good together. im sure the evo would sound good with the greddy header because they are made to go together. the only other draw back i have heard about the evo is it has lower hangers so it scrapes easier if you have your car lowered ( thats what i heard so im not 100% sure) but if you did a search you might find some more infomation.

i have a 1999 rs na and my tach also goes to 9k, but i think if you put 8k tach on it it would make a slight difference because the needle has to travel a further difference to read the same rpm as before so i think it will be a little off, but as long as you dont red line your car in every single gear i dont think it will make that big of a difference -rob

any other opinions or ideas??? thanks for those who have posted. im just really curious about the 8000k to the 9000k or vice versa...so opinions would be gratful :)

i would say just call the place you are going to order them from because they might be showing the guages for a different car but just displaying that picture for a general idea im sure if you tell them your tach goes up to 9g they will have ones for you. but i would just give them a call.
