I trying to get some feedback fellows. I have a 93 laser with about 98,000 on it. I bought the car from michigan area. the previous owner installed a act2600 clutch and had tre build the tranny same time and all was installed around 2002-2003. the pedal has to bee floored to shift. usully i slide into first gear befor coming to a complete stop, forget reverse i have to shut down car and put into reverse no matter how much i pump the clutch pedal, pedal pressure is heavy. I was driving on saturday and all the suden trying to down shift into gear was not working and the pedal became very spongy. I pulled over for a bit and returned home. when i got to my driveway i noticed a a slight burning smell, not brakes, and noticed that if i pushed the clutch pedal in just a slight tinybit i can hear a slight grinding noise with tranny in nueteral. I have adjusted the the nut under the dash all the way to the last thread. I have checked the pedal assembly for wear and none. I was going to ripe out the entire clutch and replace with a centorforce dfx and the fly wheel to rule out that the act flywheel was machined to the proper step .0612 also going to replace the clutch slave cylinder, after reading some post about a spongy pedal may be caused by a leaky piston on the slave. I will adding a washer to the pivot fork, car also has a steel braided line. any thoughts to the disengaugments or any pointers when replacing the clutch, such as other things to replace while in there. also fluid was changed like 2 months ago to red line. from what i can see there was about 18,000-20,000 miles put on the clutch and trans by previous owner. Please help
