Resolved Remove 2G Dash

I searched the forum a few times with a few diff terms and didn't find anything... Are there any articles on what goes into removing the dash? I heard it was a little complicated. Any articles with pics?

REMOVAL STEPS


1. Meter bezel
2. Combination meter
3. Radio and tape player, and box
4. Console side cover
5. Sunglasses holder
6. Stopper
7. Glove box
8. Passenger's side air bag module assembly
9. Hood lock release handle
10. instrument under cover LH.
11. Center air outlet assembly
12. Heater control assembly
13. Instrument panel switch
14. Instrument under cover R.H.
15. Front speaker
16. Instrument panel assembly

I was thinking about taking it out and painting it, but after doing the door panels I'm not sure I want to do that, I cleaned them very well and the paint still reacted to something in the plastic, ###### armor all or whatever.

I used krylon fusion..

it still looks good, but I dont think I want to mess the dash up LOL.

ill take pics of what my plans where, and what I did so far. maybe someone can talk me into continuing the job LOL.

I was going to do the top metalic grey, and the dash as well, I only did the black...

I still want to do the tops of the door panels and the dash, just scared, the dash ###### costs alot if I mess it up LOL.

No need to remove the steering wheel. Just remove the column covers and remove the two bolts that hold the column to the dash bar. The column will drop low enough to allow the dash to come out.
