save my window trim?

ive just bought a 94 talon with only 66,000 miles...

the window trim is perfect, and i dont want it to turn into this....

does anybody know how to keep it from peeling???

You're doomed like the rest of us.
I just put a fabric tape along the peeling as a temp fix. It looks better than it did now but I think I plan on spraying it with a rubber undercoating spray. That should work right?
