Quick wiring help.

Guys I have a problem with my CD player. Everytime I turn off the car the CD player resets itself. All my settings are gone and I have to start the CD from the start, everytime. At first it didnt bother me but now its pissing me off.

This is a wiring diagram for the CD player.

Here are my connections. I think one (or more) is wrong.

From CD playerm to Car wire
Blue --- Nothing
Yellow --- Blue
Black --- Black
Red --- Red with grey dots (not very many)
Green/Black --- Blue/Grey

make sure the yellow wire fuse and ground is good.

It sounds like your memory isn't connected to a direct power source.

Splice your memory line to the direct 12v wire. Orrrr... Get yourself a nice wire harness, so you don't have to worry about it

heres how it should be, for a 2g and for your deck

Deck ------- Car wiring harness

Red -------- Black/White
Yellow ----- White
Black ------ Chasis Ground

then the speaker wires should be hooked up correctly if your cdplayer is working.

like sojoo said, your memory wire is either not connected or its connected to a switched power supply, this memory wire needs to be connected to a constant power source even when the ignition is off,this will retain all your settings.

It sounds as though you currently have the memory connected to the power antenna.
Also, DSM radios ground through the radio chassis. You will need to run a ground wire from your radio's ground wire straight to metal if you haven't already.

I had my red and yellow wires wrong. So I switched them and it works fine now.

My car has been doing this as well, but it's the stock Infinity system. If I shut my car off, and then turn it back on within a half hour or so, it's fine, but if I'm gone for longer than that, all my stations reset, and I have to re-enter my code every time.
