I got my new door handle painted at a body shop and they painted it the wrong color white. They gave me a refund but now I'm stuck with a painted door handle. What would be the best to take the paint off? Should I wet sand it?

Scuff the handle with 300-400 grit paper and have them paint over it. It'll look just as good as anything else.

Because it's plastic, you can't sand it harshly or use any solvents without damaging the handle. Painting over it is pretty much your only option. Fortunately, many professionals choose to go that route by default; so it's not like you're settling for an inferior process.
